The Budget section in the Budget Grid provides a structured view of your budget across the selected budget period. It allows you to enter monthly amounts and review totals at each level of the budget structure.
1. Budget
Below the Accounts Section in the Budget Grid is the Budget section.
The budget is organised into three levels:
Major Heading
Group Heading
Budget Code
Major Heading
At the highest level are the Major Headings.
By default, these include:
Receipts
GST-In
Payments
GST-Out
You may also have customised Major Headings. Each customised Major Heading is associated with either Receipts or Payments.
Receipt-related Major Headings are displayed in green.
Payment-related Major Headings are displayed in red.
Please note: Values cannot be entered directly into Major Headings.
Group Heading
Select a Major Heading to display the Group Headings underneath.
Group Headings are structured directly below their associated Major headings, and organise related Budget Codes into logical categories.
Please note: Values cannot be entered directly into Group Headings.
Budget Code
Select a Group Heading to display the Budget Code underneath.
Values can only be entered at the Budget Code level.

3. Viewing Your Budget Period
By default, the Budget Grid displays 12 months of your budget, with each month shown in a separate column.

If your budget has been extended to over a year period, additional months can be viewed using the horizontal scroll bar or the navigation controls.
