Share Portfolio Worksheets

Use the Share Portfolio worksheet to track investment assets. Agrimaster totals the value of the shares in the Statement of Position and the Financial Reports. 

Include the investment assets in discussions with your business consultant, accountant or bank. Reviewing the investment values gives you and your advisors an accurate assessment of the strength of your business.


1.    Description

 

Enter the name of the issuer of the shares

2.    Remark

 

Enter a description of the type of item such shares or bonds 

3.    Opening Number Units

 

Enter the number owned

4.    Opening Value Per Unit

 

Enter the value of a single unit at the beginning of this year

5.    Opening Total Value

 

Agrimaster calculates the value of the shares at the beginning of the year by multiplying the Opening Number Units x Opening Value Per Unit

6.    Return Per Unit

 

Enter the expected dollar amount of the dividend paid per unit

7.    Total Return For Year

 

Agrimaster calculates the total dividends to be paid over the year by multiplying the Opening Number Units x Return Per Unit

  

Forecasting Dividends

Month F5

 

Press F5 and enter the months the dividends are paid 

·         Any 1,2,3 or 4 months

·         Click on each month a dividend is paid

·         Agrimaster Cash Book Code (for tracking income)

·         Bank account the money will be deposited to

Click on the green tick to OK

 

If dividends are not paid on a regular basis, select No distribution for the budget. The actual dividend can be entered into the Cash Book if it is the type of payment voted on by shareholders and only paid in some years. 

 

Finishing the Share Portfolio Sheet 


1.    Closing Number Units

 

Enter the number of units expected at the end of the year. 

If shares will be purchased, add that number to the number entered in Opening Number Units. If shares will be sold, reduce the number by the number of shares sold.

2.    Closing Value Per Unit

 

Enter the expected value per unit for the shares in this row

3.    Closing Total Value

 

Agrimaster calculates the value of the shares at the end of the year by multiplying Closing Number Units x Closing Value
Per Unit

   After all data is entered, click on the green tick to save the worksheets
