Shortcut Keys for Full Budgets

Budgeting can be a time-consuming exercise. To help speed up your data entry when using Full Budgets, use the below shortcuts.

 In Worksheets

Key Function
F3

Open calculator

Click EX to export the result into the field. While F3 works in many areas, the EX option only appears when the cursor is in a field that requires a number
F5

Allows you to do one of the following (depending on what column you have selected in the worksheet)

  • create a formula
  • select an item
  • make a distribution of an amount to a code & bank accounts.

Available in specific parts of a Full Budget worksheet.

F7

Delete line

Highlight the line number first, then use F7 to delete it

F8

Use in any cell which has a Month distribution to quickly check the code, bank account and distribution.

F8 can also be used to recalculate the distribution if code or amount is not correct

F10

Save

Same function as the green tick

Esc

Exit

Same function as the black cross

[   or   ]

Copy data from the above cell

Use in a blank cell where data exists in the cell above

Tab or Enter

Move to next cell (Right)

 

 In the Direct Entry Section of the Budget
