1. Access Bank Account Settings
Open the Budget Home Page.
In the Active Budget Details section, locate the Bank Account Settings tile.
The Bank Account Settings tile displays:
Your current Primary Account
The Opening Balance of the Primary Account
Select Manage Bank Accounts.
The Manage Bank Accounts modal will open, displaying all bank accounts connected to the active budget.
2. Understanding Bank Account Labels
Within the Manage Bank Accounts modal:
The Primary Account always appears at the top of the list and is identified by the Primary Account label.
If a bank account has been assigned as the GST Account in GST Settings, it will also display an Assigned GST Account label.
A tick beside an account indicates that it is currently connected and included in the budget.
The opening balance for each account is displayed within the account list.
3. Configure an Overdraft Limit
An overdraft limit can only be assigned to the Primary Account.
To configure an overdraft limit:
Locate the account identified as the Primary Account.
Enter or update the Overdraft Limit as required.
Note: Overdraft limits can only be applied to the account designated as the Primary Account.
4. Change the Primary Account
If required, you can assign a different account as the Primary Account.
To change the Primary Account:
Select the account you want to make the Primary Account.
Choose the option to set it as the Primary Account.
Enter an overdraft limit if required.
Once updated:
The new Primary Account will move to the top of the list.
The account will display the Primary Account label.
Any overdraft limit will apply to the new Primary Account.
Important: Changing the Primary Account does not automatically change the GST Account.
To assign a different GST Account, update the account selection in GST Settings.
5. Remove an Account from a Budget
Accounts can be removed from a budget by deselecting them.
To remove an account:
Untick the account you want to remove.
The account will no longer be included in the budget.
Note: An account can only be removed if no budget data has been assigned to it. If transactions or budget amounts have already been allocated to the account, it cannot be removed until those entries have been reassigned or deleted.
6. Reorder Accounts
You can customise the order in which accounts are displayed throughout the budget.
To reorder accounts:
Select and hold the two-line drag handle beside an account.
Drag the account to your preferred position.
Release the account and save your changes.
Reordering accounts can help keep frequently used accounts at the top of the list, making them easier to access when working in your budget.
7. Save Your Changes
After making any updates to your bank account settings, select Save to apply the changes to the active budget.
