The Working Capital Availability Chart provides a high-level view of your projected cash position throughout the budget period, helping you understand how much working capital is available each month.
Overview
The chart is located on the Budget Home Page and combines your Primary Account Balance with your available overdraft to provide a clear picture of your available funds over time.
1. Switch Between Budget Years
If your budget spans multiple years, you can view the Working Capital Availability for each year.
To change the year displayed:
- Select the Year Selector in the top right-hand corner of the chart.
- Choose the year you want to view.
The chart will update to display the Working Capital Availability for the selected budget year.
2. Understanding the Working Capital Summary
Above the chart, you'll find a summary of your working capital information.
Primary Account Balance
Displays the projected running balance of your nominated Primary Account for each month of the budget.
Working Capital
Displays your available working capital by combining your Primary Account Balance with your available overdraft facility.
This provides a clearer picture of the total funds available throughout the budget period.
Overdraft Limit
This value is taken from the Bank Account Settings and allows you to quickly see the overdraft amount used when calculating your available working capital.
3. Understanding the Working Capital Availability Chart
The chart provides a visual representation of your projected financial position throughout the budget period.
The chart includes:
- Green Line – Projected running balance of your Primary Account. This makes it easy to identify periods where your cash position increases or decreases throughout the budget.
- Dark Blue Bars – Primary Account Balance for each month.
- Light Blue Bars – Remaining available overdraft.
- Red Bars – The overdraft limit currently in use.
Together, these provide a visual overview of your total available working capital for each month of the budget.
4. View Monthly Working Capital Details
To view additional information for a specific month:
- Hover over the required month within the chart.
The tooltip displays:
- Primary Account Balance
- Balance
- Overdraft Remaining Amount
This allows you to quickly review your projected financial position for any month within the budget period.

By combining your monthly balances, available overdraft, and visual cashflow trends, it provides a clear overview of your projected financial position.
