I want to clean up my codes list, but I also want to import my budget from my old file to my new file, what do I do?

If you want to clean up your codes list, but also want to import your budget from your old file to your new file, prior to importing any budget data, it is imperative the code list clean up in the new file is done first.

1. Once you have tidied up your codes list, you can import your budget from the old file into the new file. Please note the codes may differ now that you have done a clean up.
2. During the import process at step 8, use the feature “Use Matching Code Name If Any”.
3. If a code doesn't exist in the new file, it will give you the option to chose a new code when importing the budget.
