Will Data In Unlicensed Files Expire?

If I do not license a file in the short term, and decide to license an old file down the track, will my historical data still be available? 

Unlicensed files never expire. If a file is not deleted, data will be stored in that file forever. 

Please note, files can only be deleted if the subscription is active.
