Before migrating from Agrimaster 6.5 to Agrimaster 10, you need to ensure your Major Headings and Group Headings are set up correctly.
This is required to successfully import your Agrimaster 6.5 Quick Budgets and actuals data into Agrimaster 10.
Before you begin
When importing your Agrimaster 6.5 data into Agrimaster 10, you are permitted a maximum of eight Major Headings:
A maximum of four Major Headings in the Receipts section
A maximum of four Major Headings in the Payments section
In both Agrimaster 6.5 and Agrimaster 10, the code list is organised into three levels:
Major Headings
Group Headings
Codes
At the highest levels are the Major and Group Headings. These are used to organise your code list. Data cannot be entered directly into Major or Group Headings. Data can only be entered into Codes.
When your Agrimaster file was created, the default Major Headings created were:
Receipts
GST IN
Payments
GST Out
You should have no more than 4 Major Headings, but over time, you may have created additional Major Headings.
Review the number of Major Headings
To review your Major headings:
From the Home Page, click Setup and Tools.
Click Cashbook Setup.
Click Codes.
You will be in Editing mode by default. You can confirm this by checking that Editing is highlighted in blue on the right-hand side of the screen.
Work systematically through all Major and Group Headings to check that each has been categorised correctly.
Start at the top of the code list and click Receipts.
Check the right-hand side of the screen and confirm that Receipts is classified as a Major Heading. If it is correct, move to the next heading.
For example, select Cropping Income. This should be classified as a Group Heading, not a Major Heading.
If it is already classified as a Group Heading, move to the next heading. If it is incorrectly classified as a Major Heading, change it to Group Heading and click the tick to save.
Continue through both the Receipts and Payments sections, reviewing and correcting all headings as required.
Important
The following Major Headings are required in Agrimaster 6.5 and Agrimaster 10 to ensure your Receipts, Payments and GST are calculated correctly:
Receipts
GST IN
Payments
GST Out
Once you have reviewed all Major and Group Headings and corrected any incorrectly classified ones, this step of preparing your Agrimaster 6.5 file for migration is complete.
