Deactivate An Asset Departments / Groups

Once a department/group has been used in the Asset Register, it cannot be deleted.  It is possible to remove it from the dropdown menu but you cannot remove it from the Asset Register.

To Deactivate A Department/Group

  1. From the Home Page, click Assets & Stock.
  2. Click Asset Register.
     
  3. The Asset Register will open. Click the Edit button.

  4. At the Asset List window, select the department/group you wish to deactivate in the Choose Group to modify dropdown window.

  5. Untick the Is Active? checkbox.

  6. Click the green tick to save the changes.

  7. Click the black cross to close the window and return to the Set Asset Details window.
