Reconciling Leave Records

There are times when it is necessary to conduct a reconciliation of your employees' accrued leave records - in other words; it is the leave that is owing to employees. This can be done by following steps listed below.

These procedures are for employees that are on yearly leave accruals only.

  1. Check the employees' commencement date.
  2. Check the employees leave accrual rate.
  3. Calculate the daily rate of accrual for each leave type.
  4. Calculate the number of days from the employee's commencement to today's date.
  5. Deduct any leave already taken.
  6. Add an adjusting record if necessary.
