Where has m:drive gone?
File Manager has replaced m:drive. All of your files that were backed up to m:drive will be in File Manager. All sharing permissions will remain the same.
How much does File Manager cost?
Nothing, it's included in your membership/subscription!
Is there a limit to the number of files I can backup/share?
There are no limits to how many files you can backup/share!
Why does File Manager open when I try to open Agrimaster? Can I open Agrimaster without File Manager?
After installation, the desktop shortcut used to launch Agrimaster will now launch File Manager. File Manager is the new entry point to your Agrimaster files. All you need to do is select your file and click Open File.
What's my login?
Your login is your Agrimaster user number and the password is the same as the one you use for updates and m:drive. If you can't remember your password, you can click on the "Forgot your password?" to have a temporary password emailed to you.
What happens if I don't login?
Your changes will be backed up locally but not to the Mastergroup server.
How do I change my password?
This feature will be available in File Manager version 2.
Why can I see files in File Manager that weren't on my m:drive?
The first time that File Manager runs, it will create a new sub-folder in your work folder and migrate any .agm files located in your local directory to this new sub-folder. Any .agm file in this folder will be uploaded to File Manager
What happens with my existing non-Agrimaster related files?
File Manager will not back up or migrate any non-Agrimaster files.
What happens if I restore a file from another location?
If there are any files restored to the work folder through the ‘restore from other’ option in Agrimaster (or through another offline mechanism), File Manager does one of the below:
- Copies this version of the file to the user number folder and replaces the existing one with this version, if this is the latest version.
- Copies this version of the file to the user number folder if this file does not exist in the user number folder
How much internet data will File Manager use?
This will vary by user depending on the number of files you store and the frequency of the changes.
Will File Manager be updated in the background?
Not for upcoming releases. You will still need to go through the standard auto-update process through Agrimaster.
How safe is my data in File Manager?
Your data is safer in File Manager than attached to an email, on a USB or hard drive. Your data is stored in Microsoft Azure's network which provides a secure foundation across physical infrastructure and operational security. Azure has more certificates than any other cloud provider. Major companies choose Azure to be their trusted cloud due to its platform security. Microsoft invests over a billion dollars every year into security, including the security of the Azure platform, so that your data and business assets can be protected. For more information, see https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/overview/trusted-cloud/
Is File Manager compatible with Apple Mac/iPad?
Not at this stage. File Manager is an Agrimaster companion app which is still only compatible with Windows operating systems. For more information please see System Requirements & Compatibility.
Can I go back to m:drive?
We don’t recommend you go back to m:drive once you are on File Manager due to the benefits that File Manager offers, however, if you wish to, you can roll back to m:drive version. This means you will miss out on future Agrimaster updates (including compliance).
