How should my firm assign our User Number(s)?

As a Professional Partner, your company has a choice in how the User Number is assigned. Each choice will impact you differently. The choices and their impacts are outlined below.

  1. One (1) User Number assigned to the whole company
    • The User Number is linked to the account's email address, which is linked to the password
    • All your Agrimaster clients will share their files with that one User Number, regardless of which professional will be working with them
    • All Agrimaster registered staff members will have access to all files (the same files) shared with the company
    • When you access the file from m:drive, m:drive will load all files shared with the company in the background - The more files shared with the company, the longer and slower it will be for m:drive to load these files
    • Should an Agrimaster registered staff member move office/branch, they can still access the files
    • Should an Agrimaster registered staff member leave the firm,
      • other staff members can still access that staff member's client files
      • no need to reassign User Number to another staff member as it's the one number
      • there may be a potential security risk as the ex-staff member has the login details to m:drive (m:Drive login details may need to be changed)
  1. One (1) User Number assigned per office/branch
    • The User Number is linked to the account's email address, which is linked to the password
    • All the branch's Agrimaster clients will share their Agrimaster files with that branch, regardless of which professional will be working with them
    • All Agrimaster registered staff member located in that office/branch will have access to all files shared with that office/branch
    • When you access the file from m:drive, m:drive will load all files shared with that office/branch in the background - The more files shared with that office/branch, the longer and slower it will be for m:drive to load the files
    • Should an Agrimaster registered staff member move office/branch, they will not have access to any of the files shared with the office/branch they have left
    • Should an Agrimaster registered staff member leave the firm
      • other staff members from that office/branch can access that staff member's clients files
      • no need to reassign User Number to another staff member as it's the one number
      • there any be a potential risk as the ex-staff member has the login details to m:drive for that office/branch (m:drive login details will may need to be changed).
  1. One (1) User number assigned to each staff member registered with Agrimaster
    • The User Number is linked to the staff member's email address, which is linked to the password
    • Each Agrimaster registered staff member will have their own User Number and login
    • Agrimaster clients will share their files with specific staff members
    • M:drive will load a lot quicker as there are less files shared with the User Number
    • Should an Agrimaster registered member leave the firm
      • their User Number will need to be assigned to someone else, or notify Agrimaster to deactivate
      • their clients will need to share files with other staff
